Since 1998, Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery and Family Support Center has cared for thousands of children in the Tri-Cities, providing support when it was needed most for more than 2,000 families. During the time we’ve been in business, instances of documented child abuse and neglect have declined an amazing 12% in Benton County and 25% in Franklin County. In early 2001, Safe Harbor began construction on a new facility in Kennewick. We opened the doors to the new nursery on November 8th, 2001. The new facility is over 5,000 square feet and can accommodate 20 children overnight and 33 during the day. We are overjoyed that we can now help more children than ever before. During the twelve years we’ve been in business, our organization has received a variety recognition. In 2004, we were honored to receive the State Social Work Agency of the Year award from the Washington chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Board Members |
